More traffic changes are slated for downtown Auburn in the coming weeks, including overnight construction and the transition to back-in angle parking on Genesee Street.
Beginning Wednesday, June 13, overnight paving will begin on Genesee Street from North and South streets to James Street. Work will take place from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and continue through Friday, June 15. During that time, sidewalk, brick and curb work will also take place in the downtown business district during the day. Nighttime work will resume on June 18 and end June 20.
During the day from June 18 to June 22, sidewalk, brick and curb work will continue in the business district and work will begin to transition on-street parking on Genesee Street from pull-in to back-in parking.
