Chamber announces successful 2018 Chamber Cup Golf Tournament

The Geneva Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its 2018 Chamber Cup Golf Tournament, sponsored by Hobart and William Smith Colleges, on Wednesday, May 23rd. The event was held at Big Oak Golf Course in Geneva featuring an Americana theme and was attended by over 100 Chamber members, local representatives, and community partners.

The winner of the 2018 tournament was Silver Creek Golf Course, with team players consisting of Norm and Nate Sharman, Cliff Stein, and Tom Betrus.

Having grown significantly in size over the years, the tournament has gained success and popularity from its original themes, while drawing support and participation through golf teams as well as on-course vendor stations which feature a variety of networking games and interactive activities.
In addition to its growing support, the 2018 tournament also saw the largest turnout of volunteers to date for a Chamber Golf Tournament. Volunteers assisted in the planning of the event and played a critical role in the execution of duties during the day, from helping at registration to manning each of the on-course games.

The Chamber would like to acknowledge and thank the following volunteers and their organizations who participated in the event: (pictured, front-center, left to right) Lynn Anania of Geneva Club Beverage; Ruri Chappell of Zotos International; and Dave Sharman of Big Oak Golf Course.
