The Geneva Recreation Department, Geneva Neighborhood Resource Center (GNRC), Geneva Peeps, and the Geneva Public Library are excited to host the Geneva Outdoor Movie Series for the third year in a row. Each movie travels to different locations around the city and all of them start at dusk or whenever we can see the movie screen clearly (locations listed on chart below).
This year, the movie list has grown to even bigger titles. There are 10 movies this season: Iron Giant, Fox and the Hound, Angels in the Outfield, Paddington 2, The Little Mermaid, Black Panther, Wonder, A Wrinkle in Time, 101 Dalmatians, and COCO.
All of the Geneva outdoor movies are free, family-friendly movies and healthy snacks are provided by community and neighborhood sponsors. All movie locations are deemed tobacco-free areas. You do not have to live in the City to attend-all are welcome!
We would like to thank Casella for being our headlining sponsor – along with Red Jacket Orchards, Lochland School Inc, Hildreth Hill Neighborhood Association, Arbors Neighborhood Association, Western Gardens Neighborhood Association, Historic North Neighborhood Association, Historic South Neighborhood Association, the Geneva Human Rights Commission, the Geneva Red Wings, the Geneva Enterprise Development Center, and Massa Construction.
Rhonda Destino, Director of Communications and Engagement and serves on the Outdoor Movie Planning Committee, adds: “I have been a part of this project since we started it in Geneva and this is growing every year to reach more families from Geneva and our amazing visitors. This year, we have been very encouraged from all of the willing sponsors and donors that have reached out to us-the program will be even better this year because of their generosity.”
With the support and help from the community, the Geneva Movie Series has continued to grow each year, and we look forward to what connections of neighbors will bring and where this project will go next year.
