A Canandaigua man was taken into custody on Monday as part of a stolen gun investigation, which was reported here on FL1 a couple weeks ago.
Deputies arrested Travon Whitfield, 23, as part of the investigation into guns that were stolen from a Hopewell home back in January.
He’s accused of buying one of the guns from a 21-year-old who was charged with having stolen guns when the investigation first got underway.
Whitfield was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
He was remanded to the Ontario County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 secured bond.
