Sophomore Tyus Battle, junior Frank Howard and freshman Oshae Brissett combined to score 66 points for Syracuse (18-10, 7-8 ACC) in its 78-74 loss to No. 10 North Carolina (22-7, 11-5 ACC) Wednesday night in the Carrier Dome.
Battle posted 26 points and six assists, Howard recorded 23 points and Brissett compiled his 11th double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
Theo Pinson led the Tar Heels with 23 points, seven assists and six boards and Joel Berry II added 18 points.
