Officials at High Acres Landfill in Perinton and Macedon are working to correct an ongoing odor issue that prompted a notice of violation from the state Department of Environmental Conservation.
DEC Commissioner Basil Seggos announced the Feb. 2 Notice of Violation to Waste Management of New York LLC, operator of High Acres Western Expansion Landfill on the Monroe-Wayne County border for “ongoing violations of the state’s solid waste management regulations, as well as the state’s air pollution control requirements related to ongoing odor issues.”
