The Mynderse Blue Devils evened up their season series with the Wayne Eagles on Tuesday night at Wayne High School earning a 51-42 win to take a half-game lead in the Finger Lakes East race with just over a week remaining in the regular season. For Mynderse, Quinten Battle led the way with 20 point including 5 three-pointers. Senior big man Jake Robinson added 14 and Devin Anderson added 8 big points, all in the second half. For Wayne, Braeden Zenelovic scored a season-high 18 points in his second game after missing most of the regular season with a foot injury. Nick Carmichael scored 12 and point guard Billy Thompson scored 9 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the loss. Wayne’s leading scorer Logan Blankenberg did not play as he is recovering from a knee injury and expected to return to action on Friday night against Midlakes. Lyons standout Justice Smith is just a junior but he scored his 1,000th career point in the Lions 75-44 win over Williamson on Tuesday night. Adam Fisk 15 Smith finished with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Freshman Lucas Lucieer had 11 points and 13 rebounds. Williamson was led by Adam Fisk who scored 15. Up next for Lyons is a huge game against rival Clyde-Savannah in Clyde on Thursday night in a game that can be seen live on FingerLakes1.com.
