It takes a lot of money to run a congressional campaign.
Rep. Tom Reed’s got it.
In year-end filings with the Federal Election Commission, the Corning Republican raised nearly $1.8 million in 2017 and had more than $1 million cash on hand in the run-up to the 2018 midterm elections.
“We are grateful to the hundreds of fellow New Yorkers who have placed their trust in us and invested their hard-earned money in our campaign,” said Reed, who represents the 23rd Congressional District. “I am committed to bringing people together to solve the problems facing our communities and will continue to fight for hardworking families across our district.”
Reed’s numbers dwarf his Democratic competition at this point.
