A proposed car wash project with a location in Auburn and another elsewhere in Cayuga County is considering applying for financial assistance through the Cayuga County and Auburn Industrial Development Agencies, less than a year after a different car wash project on was awarded assistance through the Auburn agency.
Few details are known about the project, as it is still in the beginning stages. Cayuga Economic Development Agency Executive Director Tracy Verrier said Wednesday during the monthly AIDA meeting that she does not know the specific locations of the proposed project, nor is a budget known at this time. She said she is not able to publicly disclose the name of the company who is inquiring about financial assistance. No formal application for assistance has been submitted yet.
