Syracuse will hire former Nebraska and Oregon State offensive line coach Mike Cavanaugh, according to a report by FootballScoop.com.
The website, which specializes in football coaching news, reported that Cavanaugh will coach the offensive line at Syracuse, which means his hiring will likely prompt some shuffling of duties within the Orange staff.
Syracuse co-offensive coordinator Mike Lynch coached the offensive line last season. Lynch has been with Dino Babers throughout Babers’ career as a head coach, pairing with him at Eastern Illinois, Bowling Green and Syracuse.
