The Town Board will conduct public hearings Wednesday on two proposed local laws.
One would impose a six-month moratorium on any approvals of an appeal made to the town Zoning Board of Appeals.
There have been recent resignations of ZBA members, resulting in the ZBA having less than a quorum at meetings. The local law states the ZBA is “unable to function” with this level of membership and the Town Board is in the process of identifying and appointing new members.
The new members appointed would then need time to undergo the required training before joining the ZBA “and to make the ZBA truly functional.”
