It was a light night of action across the Wayne-Finger Lakes leagues for area boys and girls varsity basketball teams but there were some interesting match-ups on the docket. For the boys, the big story of the night was the Blue Panthers of Gananda defeating Midlakes in a East-Wayne interleague contest. For the girls, Mynderse looked impressive as they hosted South Seneca in a match-up of two defending sectional champs. Full results below…

Sydney Close led the Indians with 23 points. Imanu Baker scored a career-high 18 points in a losing effort for the Wolves.

Braelin Scott recorded her 5th straight double-double with 22 points and 14 rebounds to lead Bloomfield over Dansville. Amelia Poole added 20 points on five three-pointers and Jessie Sheehan scored 19.
SOUTH SENECA 37 @ MYNDERSE 55
Jake Parsons scored 14 points and pulled down 23 rebounds but it wasn’t enough to top Mynderse in Seneca Falls on Monday night. Blue Devils junior Mary Doell scored 14 points and pulled down 16 rebounds to pace Mynderse in the win. Teammates Kayla Snyder scored 11 and senior Heidi Miller scored 12. Alex Mosqueda had 16 points and 8 rebounds, Freshman Isabella Wilbur scored 15 points to go with 11 rebounds and Katie Smith grabbed 12 rebounds in the Rams victory.
