Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on December 5th deputies arrested Rebecca L. Ellison, 18, of Painted Post, New York.
Ellison, after being remanded to the Steuben County Jail by the Corning City Court for a charge of Petit Larceny, was allegedly found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana secreted on her person.
She was arraigned in the Village of Savona Court where she was remanded back to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $2,000 cash bail or $4,000 property bond.
Ellison was charged with one count of Unlawful Possession of Marihuana and one count of Promoting Prison Contraband in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor.
