Beginning Thursday Seneca Falls transforms into Bedford Falls for the annual “It’s a Wonderful Life” Festival.
It’s a holiday tradition for the small town of little more than 9,000 residents. It serves as a boon for businesses in the community, and provides residents with a break from the holiday norms.
This year’s festival features the typical events and promotions put on by local businesses, plus a number of new, and exciting features. Four members of the original cast will be in Seneca Falls celebrating with the rest of the community.
Thousands will come for the festival, and thousands more will come to Seneca Falls on Saturday for the “It’s a Wonderful Run 5K,” which has donated tens-of-thousands to local organizations since its birth.
The holiday fun kicks off Thursday evening with “Merry Christmas George Bailey,” being performed by the Seneca Community Players. That begins at 7 pm and runs until 8:30 pm. Tickets are $8 at WomanMade Products.
On Friday Bailey Park Vendor Village kicks off, with the Bedford Falls Holiday Postmark being unveiled at the Seneca Falls Post Office.
The annual showing of the It’s a Wonderful Life movie, as well as Horse Drawn Wagon Rides will be featured during the festival.
