Sophomore Tyus Battle scored a career-high 28 points with five rebounds and three assists to lead Syracuse (2-0) to a 71-62 victory over Iona (0-2) Tuesday night in the Carrier Dome. Eleven of Battle’s 28 came in the final eight minutes of the second half to help the Orange pull away.
Junior Frank Howard added a career-high 15 points with four rebounds and three assists and freshman Oshae Brissett finished with 12 points.
