A 23-game win streak will accompany Newark Valley into Saturday’s Class C state football quarterfinal, 11 a.m. against Skaneateles at Union-Endicott’s Ty Cobb Stadium.
Skaneateles (9-1), which lost a seven-point game Oct. 13 to Class B champion Homer, is coming off a 66-27 win against General Brown for Section 3’s championship. In that one at the Carrier Dome, junior quarterback Patrick Hackler passed for five touchdowns and ran for two, one of the latter a 98-yarder.
