One person sent to hospital after Geneva crash

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports that one person was sent to the hospital after a crash involving two vehicles in Geneva.

Deputies say P.A. Hungerford, 66, of Lodi was traveling west on W. Washington St. and failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of County Rd. 6 causing a northbound vehicle to strike hers.

Deputies say Mary Goodman, 49, of Ovid was driving the northbound vehicle, and due to injuries sustained in the crash — she was transported to Geneva General Hospital.

Hungerford was issued a ticket for failure to stop at a sign, and no other tickets were issued, according to deputies.

White Springs Fire Department and Finger Lakes Ambulance responded to the scene.

County Rd. 6 between State Rt. 5&20 and Lenox Rd. were closed for approximately 30 minutes.
