Deputies: Tractor-trailer rollover in Gorham results in tickets

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Friday around 10:33 pm deputies, as well as the Rushville Fire Department, Middlesex Ambulance and Canandaigua Ambulance responded to the area of State Rt. 247 and State Rt. 245 in Gotham for a tractor-trailer rollover crash.

Upon arrival, first responders observed a tractor-trailer overturned on its side in the roadway near the intersection of Baldwin Rd. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 57-year-old Arduc Ali, of Orlando — and was unharmed in the crash, according to deputies.

During the course of the crash the vehicle collided with a NYSEG utility pole breaking it at the base. NYSEG responded to the scene and assessed the damage.

Red’s Auto Works responded and turned the vehicle upright — where it was unloaded and removed from the scene. Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies performed a commercial vehicle inspection on the tractor-trailer.

State Rt. 245 was closed from Rt. 247 to County Rd. 1 for approximately four hours as crews worked at the scene.

Ali was cited for failure to keep right and a log book violation. He was issued tickets and will answer the charges in Gorham Town Court.
