No. 8 Miami (6-0, 3-0 ACC) held off a second half Syracuse (4-4, 2-2 ACC) comeback bid in a 27-19 victory at Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 21. The Hurricanes were victorious in their 10th consecutive game.
The Orange put up yet another strong second half, outscoring Miami 16-14 after halftime. Moe Neal accounted for the lone Syracuse touchdown and Cole Murphy kicked four field goals, including a career long from 53 yards. Dontae Strickland rushed for 105 yards and surpassed 1,000 yards for his career.
