A 28-year-old Red Creek woman was arrested on burglary charges, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office after an investigation into a robbery that was reported by a homeowner in Lyons.
Deputies say that Misty M. Leonard, 28, of Red Creek was charged with second-degree burglary and petit larceny after allegedly entering the home of a resident in Lyons, without his permission — stealing a dog and mail.
Neighbors reported seeing Leonard at the property and later, she admitted to taking the dog and mail.
She was arraigned in Galen Town Court and remanded to the Wayne County Jail.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
