He was one of thousands addicted to heroin. Now, his parents are using their son’s story to help the growing number of local families feeling the same.
“Devastated,” Suzanne Marinelli said. “Never thought this would happen to us. You can’t, you can’t imagine till it happens to you.”
Suzanne and Jeff Marinelli fought a personal battle against heroin, and now they’re fighting a public one.
The Canandaigua couple held their second support group meeting for families dealing with addiction Wednesday night.
It is helping them move on.
