Real Eats chooses Geneva for its food-prep operations

If any company were to fit perfectly into the city’s efforts to cultivate its food and beverage industry, it might be Real Eats.

The fledgling company, based in New York City, offers prepared gourmet-style food delivered to the home that can be ready to eat in less than 10 minutes and has chosen Geneva as its production base.

Founder and CEO Dan Wise said the company spent two years developing its process, which involves preparing high-end food in the kitchen, vacuum-sealing it and then delivering it to the home.

It’s similar to the concept of Blue Apron, which provides all the ingredients needed to make a meal, but with a difference: The food is already prepared.
