Raegan Frash, a 9-year-old from Skaneateles, out-grilled her competitors on Monday night’s episode of the Food Network show Kids BBQ Championship and walked away with the $10,000 grand prize.
Frash beat three other kid grill chefs with her Hawaiian-themed sausage dog sandwich topped with grilled peppers, onions and pineapple in the first round and her over-the-top clambake in the finale.
The competitors had one hour to cook for the judges, Damaris Phillips, Eddie Jackson and Shannon Ambrosio, a grilled clambake in the final round. They were required to include corn, potatoes, clams, sausage and one shellfish in their dish.
