Three sent to Strong Hospital after crash on SR 96

Deputies in Ontario County say a 46-year-old Geneva woman was ticketed after making a left hand turn on State Route 96 causing an accident in the Town of Phelps on Wednesday around 9:07 am.

Dorlene M. French, 46, of Geneva, was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for chest pain.

The driver of the second vehicle, Susan L. Nemitz, 35, of Shortsville was also transported to Strong Hospital. Deputies say she suffered a head injury during the crash.

Anthony E. Curran, 28, also of Shortsville was sent to Strong by Finger Lakes Ambulance with facial injuries.

Phelps Fire Department assisted at the scene.

Eastbound traffic was temporarily detoured due to the crash.
