On Thursday at 12:01 am deputies in Ontario County arrested a Fairport man for driving while intoxicated after a vehicle was observed driving all over the road.
Deputies charged David T. Benwell, 31, with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated per se .08 percent or above, failure to keep right and unregistered motor vehicle.
Deputies say Benwell was stopped after a complaint was filed with the Sheriff’s Office of a sick or intoxicated driver. When deputies were finally able to catch up with Benwell, he was stopped and an investigation resulted on County Rd. 30.
He was issued traffic citations and will answer the charges in East Bloomfield Town Court at a later date.
