A panel of Sommelier’s ranking the best wine regions in the U.S. have named the Finger Lakes as No. 1.
The panel included Heath Porter, owner and operator of Uvaggio in Miami, David Boyle, head sommelier at Chandlers Steakhouse in Idaho, Wes Narron, chief wine ambassador at City Wine Tours in Boston and New York City, Brian Grandison, head sommelier at Hakkasan at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, Ryan Robinson, sommelier at Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Patrick Olds, sommelier at the Four Seasons St. Louis, and Daniel Toral, wine director at 50 Eggs, Inc. restaurant group.

The ranking comes as the region continues to see an explosion of growth in the quality and quantity of wines, winemakers, and vineyards.
