Finger Lakes SPCA broken into, puppy stolen from shelter

Officials at the Finger Lakes SPCA say the shelter was broken into and a puppy named Jed was taken overnight. The Finger Lakes SPCA posted on social media that they believed the 8-week-old puppy was in danger. They say the puppy is too young to be adopted and doesn’t have all of its shots.

In the Facebook post on Wednesday morning, the agency said it was contacting Auburn Police to report the break in. Auburn Police confirmed with CNY Central they are looking into the theft of the puppy.
