According to officials, an officers with the Ithaca Police Department is ‘no longer employed’ after a pair of incidents, which crossed state boundaries.
Matthew Lee Pagliaro, 51, was with the IPD for nearly 20 years, according to the Ithaca Voice.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated in Newfield. Another incident took place in Florida, where he allegedly pulled a gun on a person.
A spokesperson for the IPD said they were “aware” of the incidents, but that the officer in question was no longer employed by the force or city.
The Ithaca Voice report indicates that court documents reveal that Pagliaro was accused of pulling a gun on a person at a hotel on December 22nd in Stuart, Florida.
On January 8th around 12:30 am — he was parked in his pickup truck, with the engine still running, asleep at the wheel. After that incident he was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with a .08 blood-alcohol content, and having an open container in a vehicle.
The charges were a mixture of misdemeanors and violations.
