Brown’s big day boosts Hobart into 1st place tie

Senior attackman Frank Brown enjoyed a record-matching day on Senior Day at Boswell Field, leading the Hobart College lacrosse team to a 15-8 Northeast Conference victory over Mount St. Mary’s University. He tied the program’s Division I record for goals in a game, scoring six times and adding two assists for a career-high eight points.

With today’s results, the NEC Tournament field is set. Hobart (7-6, 4-1) and Robert Morris (9-5, 4-1) are tied for first place with the winner of next week’s showdown in Moon Township, Pa., earning the regular season championship and the right to host the NEC Tournament. Bryant (8-6, 4-2) and Sacred Heart (8-5, 3-2) will complete the four-team field.
