No. 1 Syracuse holds off upset bid by Binghamton

Ryan Simmons and Jamie Trimboli scored late goals and goalie Evan Molloy denied a last-second shot as No. 1 Syracuse lacrosse sweated out a win over Binghamton 9-8 Saturday in the Carrier Dome.

The win improves Syracuse to 11-1 heading into next weekend’s ACC Tournament. The contest was the ninth one-goal game of the season for the Orange.

Tom Moore almost single-handedly carried the Bearcats to the win, scoring five times. Tanner Cousens made eight saves for Binghamton. Read More
