A restaurant chain featuring the Colonel’s favorite recipe is trying to stop a Pittsford man from using a line similar to its famous “Finger Lickin’ Good” slogan.
KFC Corp. has filed a petition with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to block Brian Mastrosimone from using “Finger Lakin’ Good” and “Finger Laking Good” to promote his family of businesses.
Mastrosimone received approval from the patent office to use those taglines last year to promote various real estate, farm and brewery and other projects in the region, including a farm-to-table concept under development on Route 247 in Gorham, Ontario County.
