On Thursday the Victor Schools Resource Officer from the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Primary School for a suspicious condition.
Faculty reported a concern over a parent — identified as Erika L. Kesner, 42, of Farmington, who they believed was impaired when she picked up her children the day before.
Deputies located her in her vehicle, which was running at the time in the parking lot. A four-year-old child was in the rear seat of the car. Deputies say she exhibited signs of alcohol and drug impairment while the complaint was being investigated.
She was placed through field sobriety tests, which resulted in her being arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Afterward, Kesner was evaluated and submitted to a breath test. She was not only under the influence of alcohol, but was also impaired by drugs, according to deputies.
She was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while ability impaired by drugs, driving while ability impaired by drugs and alcohol and aggravated driving while intoxicated for having a child less than 16-years-old in the vehicle.
The last charge is a Class E felony. She was arraigned in Victor Town Court and released on pre-trial. The charges will be answered at a later date.
