When an American Goldfinch stopped by our feeders in South Bristol on Thursday morning, we noticed a few black feathers on his head and bright yellow feathers on his body. Goldfinches changing color is certainly a sign of spring. He would soon be showing off his brilliant black cap and yellow courting feathers to all the female finches.
