Truckers say “travel ban costs thousands”

A travel ban on tractor trailers that lasted for nearly a day and a half was quite costly to individuals whose livelihood depends on the open road.
“If I ain’t turning the wheels I ain’t making any money,” said James Potts, who owns his own tractor trailer, “I’ve lost about $3,000 this week.” Potts said he charges $2 a mile and usually travels 3,000 mile a week. He said the ban on I-81 and the New York State Thruway wasn’t necessary.
