The Midlakes Screaming Eagles stunned the Newark Reds on Tuesday night behind 22 points from Bryce Burri and 20 rebounds from Daryn Carswell. The loss by Newark, coupled with Mynderse Academy’s win at home over Pal-Mac, gives the Blue Devils the outright Finger Lakes East championship. With Marcus Whitman’s clinching of the FL West title two weeks ago, the last Wayne-Finger Lakes league without a champion is Wayne County. That could change on Wednesday night as Clyde-Savannah hosts East Rochester in a game that will be streamed live on FL1 Sports. A win by C-S would clinch the outright league title for the Golden Eagles.
