All Alicia Mattie and her loved ones want for Christmas is a bone marrow match for her. And they hope her Santa is somewhere in the Auburn community.
A marrow donor registry drive will be held Monday at Holy Family Church to find a match for Mattie, 45, who has myelodysplastic syndrome. Anyone in the area age 18 to 44 and in good health is encouraged to come, have their cheek swabbed and see if they’re a match for the Auburn woman.
