New York State Police say they’re investigating a fatal accident, which happened Wednesday afternoon on State Route 104 around Furnace Road.
They say that 94-year-old Andrew Strickner was traveling west on 104 and attempted to turn left onto Furnace Road, when he hit a car operated by 80-year-old Wayne Eygnor, of Wolcott. Eygnor’s passenger, identified as 77-year-old Janette Mahon, of Williamson suffered minor injuries, according to state police.
Strickner was pronounced dead on arrival at Rochester General Hospital. Both cars were demolished in the wreck, which remains under investigation.
