Public library supporters request $60,000 from Cayuga County Legislature

Holding signs and wearing buttons to support public libraries, about a dozen residents called on the Cayuga County Legislature to restore $60,000 in funding to the county’s nine libraries at a budget hearing Monday night. Supporters and librarians said they are hoping to bolster programming and use the proposed county contribution towards financing the inter-library loan system.
