Twelve games this season, 26 overall since he became the Bills starting quarterback in 2015, and I think we’ve seen all that we need to see from Tyrod Taylor. After nearly two years of maddening inconsistency with no tangible evidence that he’s ever going to get any better, I wholeheartedly believe he is not the long-term answer at the game’s most important position.
Taylor’s performance in Oakland Sunday was dreadful. There’s no other way to describe it. Blame the defense if you want, and it was certainly culpable in this season-crushing defeat, but the offense was just as horrific, and Taylor was the main reason why.
