The Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital Auxiliary has donated $10,000 to the Finger Lakes Health Foundation annual fund, with the proceeds going toward the acquisition of a new, Medic 55 advanced-life-support vehicle.
The Medic 55 ALS unit responds with highly trained critical-care technicians and/or paramedics with state-of the-art equipment to assist local ambulance corps and, ultimately, extend the highest level of emergency care possible in the field. Medic 55 responded to 870 emergency calls in 2015.
