A 31-year-old Tampa woman has been identified as the deceased in an accident earlier this week.
The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office reports that Myrna G. Rivera, 31, of Tampa, Florida was walking on Ridge Road – headed southbound – when she was struck by a sedan that was also traveling south on the roadway. The accident reportedly occurred around 9:20 pm when deputies were called to the scene.
The accident is still under investigation, according to authorities in Tompkins County. Rivera was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene. No tickets have been issued to the driver at this time.
