Freeville man charged with aggravated DWI after Romulus accident in August

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on September 1st at 6:45 pm deputies arrested Nicholas S. Antczak, 33, of Freeville for driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated after an accident, which occurred on August 3rd.

Antczak was also charged with several traffic violations to include driving on the shoulder, speed unreasonable on a curve, and failure to submit to a breath test. Deputies say the accident occurred on State Route 96, where he was traveling northbound around 3:30 pm and left the roadway.

His vehicle flipped before coming to rest in the east side ditch, and deputies say that Antczak suffered non-life threatening injuries. He was transported to Cayuga Medical Hospital where he was treated.

Antczak will answer the charges on September 23rd.
