On Friday, shortly after 12:30 pm, Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies, the Hopewell Fire Department and Canandaigua Ambulance responded to Route 5 near County Road 50 in Canandaigua for the report of a two-car crash.
Olivia Caves, age 18 of Wolcott, was traveling east on Route 5 in her 2002 Chevy Impala when Walter Lambouf, age 80 of Gorham Street in Canandaigua, turned in front of Caves in his 2008 Hyundai Veracruz while attempting to make a u-turn.
Walter was issued a traffic citation for unsafe lane change and was transported to Thompson Hospital for a checkover.
