It’s going to be an active weather weekend, as forecasters pin down the rain, wind, and changing temperatures that are expected here in the Finger Lakes over the next 48 hours.
– A stalled out frontal boundary is going to cause a couple areas of low pressure to move through the region, according to FLX Weather Meteorologist Drew Montreuil.
– While the heaviest rain will remain south of the area, some occasional showers may work their way into the Finger Lakes, especially for more southern areas.
– Temperatures on Saturday should hang around 40 degrees or a little above.
– The weather will take a turn, as high winds and heavy rain arrive back into the region around midnight. Montreuil says heavy rain will impact the region Sunday morning, before tapering off during the early-afternoon hours.
– Frequent wind gusts of 35 to 45 mph can be expected on Sunday.
