New York State Department of Transportation officials said a stretch of State Route 96 in Ithaca would be closed for several hours due to an accident.
The closure was announced around 8:30 a.m. However, at 9:30 a.m. officials announced that the closure had ended and that normal traffic flows had returned.
The closure was on Route 96 in Ithaca between State Route 89 and Vinegar Hill.
Details of the accident were not available.
