Nine months of ‘hell’: Timeline of Anthony Saccone’s case into deadly OCC crash

“It seems to this court you just don’t get it,” Judge Matthew Doran said to Anthony Saccone Monday morning during his sentencing. “Maybe someday you will. I hope that you do.”

The 31-year-old Camillus man was handed a 10 to 30-year prison sentence for his role in the February crash that killed three young people with ties to Onondaga Community College.

“You spent the last nine months putting the victims’ families through hell,” said one victim’s sister in court.

For now, it’s the end of the long saga of Saccone’s case, which included lawsuits, battles with lawyers, a second arrest, and of course, ongoing grief for the families of the victims.
