According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office a Seneca Falls man has been arrested on child porn charges following a federal investigation.
Matthew Urquhart, 32, of Seneca Falls has been charged with receipt and possession of child pornography.
According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Kyle P. Rossi, FBI Special Agents identified Urquhart actively trading child porn from a trailer residence in Seneca Falls.
Subsequently, with assistance from the Seneca Falls Police Department and Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, searched two residences that Urquhart occupied during the period in question. Digital items belonging to Urquhart were seized.
He made an initial appearance before a federal charge before being released on conditions.
The charges carry a minimum penalty of five years in prison.
