The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a driver, and usage of NARCAN following an accident, which happened on Saturday around 7 pm in Lodi.
Deputies responded to the area of State Route 96A and County Road 129 for the report of an accident. Upon arrival, it was determined that two males were inside the vehicle – both unconscious.
Deputies administered multiple doses of NARCAN to both males and removed them from the vehicle. They say Joshua Dickson, 40, of Lodi – was the driver of the vehicle; and Keith Dickinson, 65, of Lodi – was the passenger.
Both remained uncsoncsious and were placed into a South Seneca Ambulance to be transported to the hospital.
Deputies say Keith regained consciousness before the ambulance left the scene and was found to have drugs on his person. He was charged with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance, and signed-off – refusing further medical treatment.
Joshua Dickson also signed off without injuries and was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated on a combination of drugs and alcohol, as well as felony DWI.
Deputies say he had a previous conviction in the last 10 years for DWI, which made the most-recent charges felonies.
They were remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility and await further action in Lodi Town Court.
South Seneca Ambulance, as well as Lodi, Ovid and Interlaken fire departments all assisted at the scene.
