Arrest made in fatal hit-and-run near Darien Lake after Jason Aldean concert

A Chautauqua County woman is accused in a fatal hit-and-run near Darien Lake State Park on Saturday morning.

Jennifer L. Serrano, 48, of Irving was charged Sunday with second-degree vehicular manslaughter and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, both felonies, according to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office.

Connor Lynskey, 18, of Hinckley, Oneida County, was hit by a vehicle on Sumner Road while walking back to the state park with a group of friends from a concert at Darien Lake Amphitheater. A deputy found his body about 11 hours after friends at the state park reported him missing.

According to sheriff’s office, the vehicle involved in the crash was seized in Amherst, Erie County, early Sunday.

Officers responded to the state park at 12:30 a.m. when Lynskey didn’t show up at the campsite and his friends notified the New York State Park Police. A deputy found his body about 11 hours later in a ditch.
