Deputies: Farmington man falsely reported sexual abuse against disabled person

A 48-year-old Farmington man is accused of making false claims about sexual abuse against a disabled person, according to deputies.

Martin Douglas Gray, 48, of Farmington was charged with falsely reporting an incident after investigation revealed that in June he made a false allegation of sexual abuse being committed against a developmentally disabled person at a group home in the Town of Gorham.

Martin, who was employed as support staff at the group home made the allegation to his supervisor, with the knowledge that it would generate a mandated report to the New York State Justice Center.

It was proven that the allegation never took place.

He was issued appearance tickets and will answer the charge at a later date.
